Uttar Pradesh State Board of High School and Intermediate Education is a government autonomous body that is responsible for conducting and managing the 10th standard and 12th standard examination in Uttar Pradesh. It comes under the Uttar Pradesh state government and its headquarter is present in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. The 10th and 12th standard examinations are also called as High school examination and Intermediate examination.

History Of Uttar Pradesh Board
This board was made in 1921 under an act of the United Provinces legislative Council at Prayagraj district. The first successful examination of the UP board was conducted in 1923. This board was the first board to adopt the 10+2 system of examination. Prior to the establishment of Uttar Pradesh state board of high school and intermediate education, University of Allahabad was the examining body for these two examinations.
